Overview
CharterBusFinder is an independent referral and trip-planning website. This policy explains how information is processed when you visit the site or submit CharterBusFinder's quote form.
Quote-request information
Our quote form collects the information you deliberately submit, including your name, email, phone number, pickup and destination, service dates and times, passenger count, vehicle selection, additional stops, luggage or equipment, accessibility needs, requested amenities, event type, and trip notes.
CharterBusFinder's server validates the information, stores a copy in a database provided by Neon, and transmits it to American Charterlines so it can prepare the quote and contact you. American Charterlines receives and processes its copy under its privacy policy and terms.
When you start on the homepage or a city landing page, the route draft is held temporarily in same-tab browser session storage while the quote page opens. This keeps pickup and destination addresses out of the page URL and referrer. The draft is removed after a successful request and otherwise expires when that browser tab's session ends.
Website and attribution information
Our hosting and security providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic or security logs. Referral information—such as UTM values, a landing page, or an advertising click identifier—may be sent with a quote request so the referral can be attributed and reconciled. When measurement is enabled and you deliberately submit a quote, CharterBusFinder also stores the random pseudonymous session identifier and acquisition key alongside that request. This lets us reconcile the request even if a separate analytics event is not delivered.
When site measurement is enabled, CharterBusFinder uses Vercel Web Analytics and Mixpanel to understand page visits and the steps people complete in the quote funnel. CharterBusFinder also keeps a limited event ledger in Neon so a Mixpanel outage does not erase funnel evidence. That ledger stores the event name and time, a random idempotency key, pathname without query parameters, sanitized referrer hostname, and supported first-touch UTM values. It does not store the analytics session ID or raw URLs. Measurement events may include a random same-tab session identifier, vehicle category, passenger-count range, and whether a funnel step succeeded or failed. We do not send or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, exact trip addresses, trip dates or times, accessibility details, trip notes, IP addresses, or user agents in the event ledger.
The homepage includes a lazy-loaded Google Maps place embed for the American Charterlines public business profile. If the embed loads, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and referring site, and may use cookies or similar technology under its privacy policy. Your CharterBusFinder analytics preference does not prevent this third-party map from loading.
How information is used and shared
We use the stored copy to deliver and troubleshoot the request, prevent duplicate submissions, reconcile referral status and compensation, respond to privacy requests, operate and secure the website, comply with law, and protect rights and security. Quote details are shared with American Charterlines and may be processed on our behalf by Vercel, Neon, and other infrastructure or security providers. We do not use a quote request as consent for unrelated promotional email or text messaging by CharterBusFinder.
Retention
CharterBusFinder retains quote-request records in its lead database so it can deliver requests, prevent duplicates, reconcile referrals, troubleshoot problems, and respond to privacy requests. We may delete records when they are no longer useful for those purposes. American Charterlines independently determines retention of the copy it receives.
Pseudonymous measurement events are retained according to the settings and retention periods in our Vercel and Mixpanel accounts. Turning off measurement in this browser prevents new CharterBusFinder measurement events; it does not remove information already received by American Charterlines as part of a quote request.
Cookies and similar technology
CharterBusFinder does not set an analytics cookie. It uses same-tab session storage to preserve first-touch referral information so a deliberately submitted quote request can be attributed to its source. When optional measurement is enabled, it also stores a random same-tab analytics session identifier. If you use the preference control below, local storage remembers that choice. Our hosting provider may separately use cookies or similar technology for security, functionality, measurement, and referral attribution. The Google Maps business-profile embed may also use third-party cookies or similar technology if it loads.
Your choices and requests
CharterBusFinder honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track for its measurement layer. You may also change the CharterBusFinder measurement preference stored in this browser below. This preference does not affect the quote form, first-touch referral attribution attached to a request you choose to submit, essential security logs, or processing by American Charterlines after submission.
Checking this browser's measurement preference…
You may decline to submit a quote request. You may ask to access, correct, or delete quote-request information held by CharterBusFinder by emailing privacy@charterbusfinder.com. We may need to verify your identity. Because American Charterlines receives a separate copy, requests concerning that copy should also be directed to American Charterlines.
Children
This website is intended for adults authorized to arrange group transportation and is not directed to children under 13.
